Museum Introduction

Yeh Shyr-Tao Literary Memorial Museum

“Yeh Shyr-Tao Literary Memorial Museum” is a Japanese-Western eclectic brick building situated in Confucius Temple Cultural Park of the West Central District, Tainan City. The first floor of the Museum is the main exhibition area displaying the works and related relics of Yeh Shyr-Tao and a “Literature Landscape Exhibition”.

The second floor has “Yeh's Study”, a “Documentary AV Room”, and “the Lounge”. “Yeh's Study” fully reconstructs the study in the old home of Yeh Shyr-Tao and its furniture and book collection are delivered from Kaohsiung. The “Documentary AV Room” and “the Lounge” are the main locations for holding various artistic activities on an irregular basis so that visitors can leisurely enjoy the artistic aura belonging to Tainan in the ancient Japanese building with tranquility.

In addition, the 2 tangling Hoop Pines planted in the backyard of “Yeh Shyr-Tao Literary Memorial Museum” living more than 50 years are named the “Couple Tree” and are one of the signature scenes of the “Yeh Shyr-Tao Literary Memorial Museum”.
