The artistic creations are not only over several generations but also boost prosperous art marketing. Therefore, contemporary art in Tainan has been created the special context and attention on certain art occasions in Taiwan. In 2003, the Cultural Bureau of Tainan City Government established the "Next Art Tainan", with the "next art nova" as the main point and "arts and business partnerships" as the purpose. Hopefully, the goal of the Next Art Tainan is looking forward to exploring an efficient and effective way for young artists to flourish their artistic careers successfully. Further, we also pursue the innovative achievements in the contemporary art world. The winning candidates of Next Art Tainan are selected by the outstanding selecting committee. More specifically, the curator has the discourse and review on the arts, combining the next art winners with galleries and art spaces in the city. Hence, the award creates a particular dialogue and connection between contemporary art and Tainan city.
